Tribute to Vincent Fauchoux

It is with great sadness and emotion that we inform you that our colleague and partner Vincent Fauchoux passed away suddenly on July 23, 2026.

Vincent joined the DDG law firm in 1995 and became a partner in 2000.

A leading expert in intellectual property law, he had earned an outstanding reputation in the luxury, fashion, media, and tech sectors.

A masterful litigator, he waged epic legal battles that decisively advanced case law in intellectual property law.

He dedicated his career to protecting his clients’ intangible assets against all forms of infringement: counterfeiting, free-riding, infringement of PDOs, violation of trade secrets, and more.

Passionate about innovation and new technologies, he was one of the first specialists in internet law, a subject on which he co-authored a book with Pierre Deprez, the first edition of which was published in 2000.

He worked tirelessly to understand and interpret from a legal perspective all technological innovations, particularly the most recent ones such as the metaverse, NFTs, and, of course, AI—for which he had been appointed an ambassador by the Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Affairs in 2025.

Vincent was also an entrepreneur and had co-founded the startup BlockchainYourIp with his son, William Fauchoux.

He was also passionate about the great geniuses of innovation, particularly the most famous among them, Leonardo da Vinci, to whom he had dedicated a play titled “Le Serment de Leonardo,” imagining da Vinci in the age of AI.

All those who knew him - partners, colleagues, employees, interns, peers, and, of course, his clients -will remember him as a lawyer with an endearing and cheerful personality, who worked with enthusiasm and a smile we will never forget.

We will miss Vincent dearly. We extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Christine, and their three children, William, Lucile, and Louise.
